They're way cool... and so hot. The guys who send hearts beating and pulses racing with just a glance - but oh, what a glance. It's a dirt job, but someone had to ponder all the men in soap universe and pick the sexiest. So the editors of Soap Opera Digest made the supreme sacrifice. (Yeah, right.) By the way, last year's selections (which included Y&R's Shemar Moore, GH's Ingo Rademacher and DAYS's Austin Peck) were not eligible. So, without further debate, here's the class of '98 - with comments by female co-stars about what makes them so fine. |
What is your best feature? "My dedication to my spiritual awareness. I meditate and do yoga twice a day. I've been meditating for 12 years."
Worst feature? "Being too self-critical. I'm really hard on myself - especially with my work."
What is the secret to pleasing a woman? "Honesty, for sure. If you come from a center of truth and integrity, then no matter what happens, you know you did your best, and you know you came from the truth."
What about on the physical level? "Do unto others what you would like to have done unto you."
What advice would you give to a woman about pleasing a man? "Only do what you feel moved to do from your heart. Trust what excites you."
What could a woman do to turn you into a jellyfish? "Stare into my eyes and expose her soul to the point where there's no place to hide. You don't even have to touch."
Was your first time pleasurable? "No way. It was weird. The girl was much older and I was way too nervous."
What's the wildest place that you ever made whoopee? "On a motorcycle [that was not moving]."
What's the most daring thing you've ever done? "I've walked on hot coals several times."
What is your most romantic quality? "I write poetry. Let's see if I can quote a couple of lines: 'I had always seen a mist outside... only your light so bright revealed the fog so dense. Showing me as I wiped my eyes, the protective blanket that covered my heart in seeming warmth. For my cold and lonely soul had spread to my eyes, the eyes to see you with. You are not shrouded in mist at all. You ae bright, you are joy, you are love, you are me.'"
