FROM SCHOOLGIRL . . TO SEX SYMBOL

As an adult, television veteran Jamie Luner has starred on such series as Savannah, Melrose Place, and Profiler. But her first-ever TV role came when she was just fifteen, in a 1987 episode of the hit sitcom, Growing Pains. The show's producers must have been impressed, because they brought her back just over a year later in a different role—that of Cindy Lubbock, one of eight children fathered by a gruff-but-loveable high-school coach (Bill Kirchenbauer)—in a two-part episode that served as a pilot for the Growing Pains spin-off, Just The Ten of Us.
In the show, which ran from 1988-90, Coach Lubbock takes a job at a Catholic school in California. To keep a closer eye on his six school-aged kids (five daughters and a son), he enrolls them there. As it turns out, the coach's daughters will be the only girls attending the school—much to delight of boy-crazy older sisters Cindy and Wendy (Brook Theiss). We enjoyed the show a whole lot more during its second season, when Jamie was eighteen and it was okay to leer at her in her school uniform!
Being mainly a TV star, Jamie doesn't give us many opportunities to see her unclothed. To date, she has stripped in two movies: the very rare, out-of-print 1994 erotic thriller, Tryst, and the 2000 action flick, Sacrifice. In the more recent film, Jamie plays an ex-prostitute who helps an escaped convict (Michael Madsen) hunt down the serial killer who murdered his daughter. Along the way, they help themselves to each other as well (right)!
