LOS ANGELES — Even after six years of having "Sex" together, HBO still wants to have a relationship with Kristin Davis. The "Sex and the City" star has signed a seven-figure series development deal with the premium cable network. HBO is looking for comedy projects for the actress and taking pitches from a variety of writers. However, according to The Hollywood Reporter, neither the star nor the network is wedded to keeping things funny if a worthy drama comes along. Even though "Sex and the City" came to an end this spring, it's been a year of firsts for Davis. The actress, who played Charlotte on the popular comedy, earned her first Golden Globe nomination for the role and in September she'll be up for her first Emmy for outstanding supporting actress in a comedy series. Prior to those two nods, Davis had been the only "Sex" star not to earn a sniff at an Emmy or Globe. Davis, whose earlier credits included "Melrose Place" and "General Hospital," also co-starred in the TNT movie "The Winning Season" opposite Matthew Modine. She's also the new face of Maybelline New York. |
Comedy or drama doesn't matter to me either. As long as there's nudity.
