'The Dad' Changes To 'According to Jim'
LOS ANGELES - Jim Belushi's new fall comedy "The Dad" has changed its name, "According to Jim." The name changes comes courtesy of Belushi, who didn't like the original title, one of the show's writers said at the Television Critics Association Press Tour in Pasadena, CA. "According to Jim" stars Belushi as Jim, a married father of three kids who's an "all-American" guy's guy and a kid at heart. Described to reporters as a male version of "Roseanne," Jim is a contractor in a design firm when not taking care of the kids, yet still finds time to hand out with his six-man garage blues band. The series also stars Courtney Thorne-Smith ("Ally McBeal") as Jim's wife, Kimberly Williams ("Relativity") as Jim's sister in law, Larry Joe Campbell ("The Trouble with Normal") as the brother in law, along with Taylor Atelian and Billi Bruno as the kids. |
Why not According to Courtney? If I were to watch, it certainly wouldn't be because of Jim Belushi.
