Alyssa Milano to Be "REVEALED
Revealed's Jules Asner caught up with Charmed star Alyssa Milano for a candid interview regarding her long lasting career.
In their interview, Milano opens up about her childhood career, her battle with dyslexia and how she reinvented her image to reflect who she is today. "I think that it's organic for me, because I am comfortable with it," said Milano of her sexuality. "So it's not a hoax. It's not, you know, getting all dolled up and hitting some sexy pose and having grease all over your body. It's part of who I am."
Alyssa Milano Revealed premieres in a special timeslot on Monday, July 1 at 10:00 PM ET/PT due to E!'s Men in Black 2 premiere coverage.
Milano won the hearts of viewers for eight seasons on the hit sitcom Who's the Boss? Today, she keeps audiences spellbound on the WB's Charmed. Despite the series' enchanting name, Milano has had to publicly face unpleasant times on the set.
"I think my first instinct was to want to be really defensive and go out there and defend our creative staff, and myself and Holly," said Milano of Shannon Doherty's much publicized departure from the show. "But then I realized it wasn't worth it because I think she was speaking out of some kind of pain. And I would have never wanted to contribute to that in any way."
Off the set, Milano has openly been waging a much more personal battle for some time now—a battle against illegal Internet pornography. "Basically these porn masters were making $30,000 off of my image, some of them not even being me, just my face," explained Milano, who, along with her mother, Lin, has taken a number of these companies to court.
After winning nearly 15 separate cases, they decided to take things one-step further and established SafeSearching.com, a search engine for kids that's free of porn links. "I think it's important that the fans have a clean way to look at your image," said Milano.
Alyssa Milano Revealed includes interviews with Milano's Charmed co-star Holly Marie Combs, as well as archival interviews with her parents Lin and Tom Milano and her Who's the Boss? co-stars Tony Danza and Judith Light.
The episode also features footage from throughout her career—from her early days on Who's the Boss? to her controversial Candies Perfume commercials.
