Daryl Hannah Aims For TBS' 'First Target'

LOS ANGELES - Daryl Hannah ("My Favorite Martian") and Doug Savant ("Melrose Place") have agreed to play the lead roles in "First Target," the TBS Superstation's sequel to "First Daughter."

The action film will be directed by returning director Armand Mastroianni and executive produced by Tom Patricia. Chad and Carey Hayes, who wrote the original film, will be scripting the sequel.

"We're very excited to have Daryl Hannah coming on board for this project, and we're thrilled that Doug Savant has agreed to reprise his role from 'First Daughter'," said TBS' Senior Vice President of Original Programming Jim Head in a statement.

Hannah will replace Mariel Hemingway as secret service agent Alex McGregor and Doug Savant plays her beau, Grant Carlson. For the sequel, the focus will shift from the President's daughter to the President himself.

"First Target" is expected to air on TBS in October 2000.

And Doug is thrilled that someone has offered him work.
