While expecting son Mason, now nearly 2, the former Melrose Place actress studied all the books. But once she was deep into baby life, she listened to her friends. "I could ask them anything," she tells us, "and they'd always have an answer." Bissett, 30, realized all those homespun homilies would make their own good book. Adding them to hints she found on the Web, she wrote Little Bits of Wisdom, a collection of advice from real parents. "If you read the book front to back, you leave with a feeling of wanting to be a better mother ... wanting to be there for your kids," Bissett says, which is the life she celebrates this Mother's Day. Bissett continues as the spokeswoman for Neutrogena and is working on her next tips book, but has no desire to act. She'll leave that to husband and fellow Melrose Place player Rob Estes. In fact, the whole family is in Australia for a few weeks while Estes films a TV movie. |
She demonstrated her lack of desire to act in her 5+ years on The Place.
