Since leaving Melrose Place and having a baby boy named Mason, JOSIE BISSETT had to take a crash course on being a mommy. "I got the best information not from books [or] doctors but by sharing tidbits with parents going through the same thing," she says. She's turned those tidbits into her first book, Little Bits of Wisdom (Compendium). One tip: When kids are afraid of the bogeyman, "Fill a bottle with water and call it 'monster spray.' Spray it under the bed and anywhere else monsters hang out."

To make monster spray more potent, use Melrose pool water.
