I had read in the Enquirer that Joan Collins would reprise her Dynasty character, Alexis Morrell Carrington Colby Dexter Rowan, on 90210. She would be a relative of Gina. Heck, with all those last names, she could be a relative of the entire cast.
And if Heather signed on to 90210, she could reprise her Amanda role and Alexis could comment on how much she looks like Sammy Jo. And Laura Leighton's Sophie Burns could return and Amanda could remark on how much she looks like Sydney.
Or Heather could play dual roles as both Amanda and Sammy Jo. Oh, the possibilities... It boggles the mind.
It would take a force field for Aaron Spelling to protect himself from the rumors dogging his shows these days. To separate fact from fiction, we went right to the boss. What about the gossip that has Heather Locklear (ex-Amanda, MELROSE PLACE) joining the cast of BEVERLY HILLS, 90210? "There was never any [truth to that]," Spelling insists. "I've read all the stories. I read that I was going to use Monica Lewinsky on SUNSET BEACH." About that rumor, started in the National Enquirer, Spelling reveals, "We were suing them [over that]. They printed a retraction this week. I was so upset. It's not against her or anything. I just wouldn't propose that... Tori called me screaming, 'Dad, how could you do something so sleazy?' Those kinds of things bother me. The cast heard about it. I think that they thought, 'He'll do anything for ratings.'"
