Charmed's Alyssa Milano bewitches her new husband
She may play a witch on the WB series Charmed, but Alyssa Milano needed no sorcery to land Cinjun Tate, singer and guitarist for the fledgling rock band Remy Zero. Their mutual attraction was obvious last November during the group's sold-out gig at the Roxy in Los Angeles. "They made eye contact all night," says the nightclub's talent booker Nikki Sweet. "She was so cute, pressed up against the stage, singing all the words to their songs and dancing."
The lovefest reached fruition on New Year's Day, when Milano, 26, and the twentysomething Tate were married with dried grapevines and sunflowers overhead at the Rosewood Plantation, a bed-and-breakfast hotel in St. Amant, La., about 20 miles southeast of Baton Rouge. Her Charmed costars - Shannen Doherty and Holly Marie Combs - were among the 30 or so guests at the ceremony, which offered lemon chicken and a three-tiered wedding cake. "They danced to a Cajun song for their wedding dance," says a friend of the couple who was there. "She looked very happy."
Milano and Tate immediately bonded when they met a year ago at a mutual friend's party in L.A. The actress, who played impish Samantha Micelli on Who's the Boss? (1984 to 1992) and bad girl Jennifer Mancini on Melrose Place (1997 to 1998), was engaged in 1994 to Party of Five's Scott Wolf. If her wedding-day glow is indicative, Milano has finally found her Charmed Prince. "She was always dating lots of guys at different times," says Danny Pintauro, her Who's the Boss? costar. "I hope they last a long time."
