NO PLACE FOR
MELROSE
Fake funeral for sexy Heather before she rides off into sunset
|
HEATHER LOCKLEAR proves there IS life after death in the incredible last episode of Melrose Place - and GLOBE has the inside scoop!
Everyone on the nighttime soap, which ends its seven-year run in May, beleives Heather's character Amanda Woodward and the love of her life Dr. Peter Burns, played by Jack Wagner, have been mysteriously killed, says a source.
But while the rest of the Melrose Place gang is at their double funeral, viewers are whisked away to romantic Hawaii, the insider reveals. Once there, we learn that Amanda and Peter faked their own deaths so they can marry and start over.
"The funeral is held on the beach," reveals the set insider. "Following the funeral, the couple's ashes are supposedly scattered over the Pacific Ocean."
Meanwhile, thousands of miles across the ocean, Amanda and Peter are getting married on a Hawaiian beach.
"The final shot is of them holding hands and walking off into the sunset before Peter scoops Amanda up and carries her into the ocean surf," says the source.
The blockbuster finale was so secret that the actors themselves didn't know about the final scene until they started filming it at Leo Cabrillo Beach north of Malibu.
"They got a phone call the night before," says the source.
"Everything was very hush-hush!"
