     Sultry Kelly Rutherford ex-hooker Megan to "Melrose Place" fans - tells us that it feels like "a new show," on the "Melrose" set these days. There've been multiple cast changes on the 7-year-old series, which has its season premiere tonight on Fox. "Some people had been here a long time, some wanted to go off and do other things," says Kelly. "Brooke Langton's got a show on USA ("The Net"), Lisa Rinna is home with her new baby. ... My feeling was, 'I'm here, and I love doing this. Whatever happens, it was meant to be.'" Kelly adds, "Josie Bissett's come back, which people are excited about ... I think it makes the show more fun to watch with the cast always changing. It feels fresh. And on our show, we sleep with so many people, we have to have new ones coming in."

Thus far, the consensus from the surviving cast members about the firings have been favorable. Rob Estes also said he was happy with the changes when he appeared on Regis & Kathie Lee last week.
