Breast Cancer Charity Sale
EntertainmentRarities.com is proud to present this Hollywood Bra Art Sale featuring bras personally designed by Hollywood's most celebrated stars to support breast cancer research. Among the 50 bras to be auctioned are works by Tea Leoni, Cindy Crawford, Sarah Jessica Parker, Pamela Anderson, Rod Stewart, Goldie Hawn, Jennifer Aniston, Debra Messing, and Bette Midler. All bras sold at this auction will benefit Expedition Inspiration Take-A-Hike for breast cancer research at USC/Norris and UCLA Jonsson Cancer Centers in Los Angeles. Frederick's of Hollywood is sponsoring this sale and donated the bras and design kits. Each autographed bra is a personal statement and includes the celebrity's personal sketchbook that illustrates how their design evolved. Sheryl Crow used 150 hot pink guitar pics, while Garry Shandling's bra is made of two yarmulkes. Susan Sarandon and her daughter Eva, designed a Jim Morrison bra. Tea Leoni, honorary chair, inspired this project for Expedition Inspiration Take-A-Hike. She personally contacted over 50 of her celebrity friends and asked them to design a bra for breast cancer research. Tea has generously supported Take-A-Hike in Los Angeles for five years and leads the 5K annual hike. The next hike is October 11, 2003. Warm tones of red, orange and purple grace the front of the bra, accented by a matching braided trim and straps. A delicate fabric rose and sheer strips attached to the front of the bra complete the look. The bra has a molded cup, an under wire and is handmade by Frederick's of Hollywood. A sketch of the bra by the featured artist accompanies this piece. Proceeds from the sale of this piece benefit the Expedition Inspiration Take-A-Hike for breast cancer research at USC/Norris and UCLA Jonsson Cancer Centers in Los Angeles. Expedition Inspiration hosts local Take-A-Hikes to raise hope, awareness and funds for breast cancer research.
